Tom Clark Benefit Reading

Featuring:

Hoa Nguyen
David Hadbawnik
Dale Smith

Please join us at 7 PM at 12th St. Books this Saturday, April 26, to support poet Tom Clark with readings by three of his close friends and supporters.

A reception and silent auction will follow the reading, with a painting by Austin artist Philip Trussell available along with broadsides and chapbooks by Clark. Bring your checkbooks!

Hot-off-the-press copies of the second issue of Koder Koli will be available too, with all proceeds going to Clark. Edited by Hadbawnik, this issue features work by Rusty Morrison, Noah Eli Gordon, Valerie Coulton, and others.

Interbirth Books of San Marcos, Texas, will be donating 100% of proceeds from David Hadbawnik's Ovid in Exile earned throughout April to Mr. Clark. Ovid in Exile is a beautiful, limited edition, hand-bound collection of poems currently available at a reasonable price ($15). Contact http://www.interbirthbooks.org/ to order a copy today.

Sliding scale donations will be accepted at the door.

Beer, wine, and whisky will be available for $5. All proceeds will go to help Clark.

This event is sponsored by Skanky Possum, Effing Press, Koder Koli, Interbirth Books, and 12th Street Books.

12th Street Books in Austin TX, purveyors of used, rare and out of print books, is located at 827 West 12th Street, 2.5 blocks east of 12th & Lamar, between Shoal Creek and West.
